Meet Laura

Hi, I’m Laura, founder of LP Events and a Petaluma event planner. If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love bringing people together. I live in Petaluma with my husband and our young son, and connection has always been one of my core values.

Whether it’s gathering family and friends around my dinner table, celebrating love, or welcoming new life into my circle, I believe the moments we share with the people we love are the ones we’ll remember most. Today, as the founder of LP Events and a Petaluma event planner, I have the privilege of helping others celebrate the people they love throughout Sonoma County, Marin County, San Francisco, and the greater Bay Area.

Why I started LP Events

Before launching LP Events, I spent years working as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department before transitioning into Performance Improvement within Trauma Services. Those experiences taught me the importance of compassion, flexibility, and cherishing time with the people we love. Those experiences reinforced what truly matters—connection, community, and showing up for one another during the moments that matter most.

LP Events grew from a simple belief: the people we love deserve celebrations that feel personal, thoughtful, and true to who they are. Whether you’re planning a wedding, milestone birthday, retirement, celebration of life or another milestone worth celebrating, I’d be honored to help create a celebration that feels personal, thoughtful, and uniquely yours.
